Maybe you’re new to Unveiled Living, or maybe you’ve been with us for years. Either way, I want to say a warm thank you for allowing us into your life and walk with God. Picture us sitting down together over a cup of coffee, sharing stories and encouragement—that’s the kind of connection we're so excited to have with you.

With our updated website, it feels like the perfect moment to share a bit more about who we are. Over the years, I’ve listened closely to what God wants for this ministry, and I won't lie, there were times when I felt like throwing in the towel too. What many may not realize is, I do have a day job and this ministry in itself, is a day job as well. But God. In the most beautiful ways, He kept gently nudging me, reminding me of His plans. It’s like He’s brewed a fresh pot of vision for us, filling me with a renewed passion that makes me truly believe we’re on the verge of something crazy amazing.

So, who are we? I’m thrilled you’re asking. Let’s dive in together—trust me, it’s going to be a conversation worth having!

So, Who Are We?

Unveiled Living is a vibrant community where faith meets real life. We’re here to lift the veil of pretense and show up as our true selves. Our mission is deeply rooted in 2 Corinthians 3:16-19, a powerful reminder that when we turn to the Lord, the veil is lifted, revealing the freedom and transformation that comes from Him. We’re not about putting on a perfect face; we’re about unveiling our authentic selves and discovering the freedom and joy that God has for us.

Here’s the thing: we know life isn’t always a walk in the park. Whether you’re wrestling with the aftermath of a tough season, navigating the choppy waters of personal struggles, or simply trying to keep it all together, we’ve been there too. And we’re here to walk with you through it all. Our stories of redemption are written with the beats of our hearts, and together, we share in each other’s victories and lift one another up through challenges.

Why the Red Poppy?

You might be curious about why we’ve chosen a red poppy as a symbol for Unveiled Living. Let me share the story behind it. Red poppies are remarkable for their resilience. They bloom in soil that’s endured severe hardship, thriving in the harshest conditions. Their vibrant petals are a testament to how beauty can arise from the most challenging environments.

Much like these resilient flowers, our faith often finds its strength and beauty through life’s toughest trials. The red poppy represents the resilience and grace that God pours into our lives, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, there’s a chance for profound growth and new beginnings. It’s a symbol of how, through adversity, we can blossom into something truly beautiful with God’s help.

A Journey of Faith and Freedom

Let me take you back to where it all began. In 1997, I was asked to speak at a women’s retreat. The main request was, “Make us laugh. We need it.” I had a reputation for being a bit comedic, but I wasn’t sure how to turn that into a message. I ended up getting the crowd laughing so hard that one woman fell out of her chair, and another had to make a mad dash for the restroom to avoid an embarrassing situation. But in the middle of the laughter, something profound happened.

As I transitioned from the lighthearted to the serious, I found myself saying, “Now I’m going to remove the veil and tell you what’s really going on with my life.” What they didn’t know was that my family was going through a very tough time—struggling financially, dealing with medical issues, and leaning on the Lord for a miracle. And let me tell you, He delivered. That moment of vulnerability, of removing the veil, opened the door to a profound sense of freedom and connection.

What I’ve learned over my 25 years of ministry is that many of us live behind a veil. We’re afraid to show the not-so-pretty parts of our lives out of fear—fear of rejection, judgment, or misunderstanding. But when we remove that veil, we find freedom. We discover that we’re not alone and that our stories—beautifully messy and imperfect—are worth sharing.

Unveiled Living's greatest desire is to support women who are facing battles—be it divorce, grief, or any giant you’re up against. We offer resources like blogs, video podcasts, worship encounters, digital magazines, Bible studies, and even merchandise. Our goal is to help you find inspiration, encouragement, and practical tools to overcome the giants in your life and live in the freedom that God has called you to.

Our scripture, 2 Corinthians 3:16-19, is our foundation. It reminds us that when we turn to the Lord, the veil is lifted, and we can fully embrace the freedom and transformation that He offers.
